Trees are essential to life.
Apache Foundation – the philanthropic arm of Apache Corporation – blends the company's philanthropic and environmental stewardship to enhance communities and address some of the world's pressing issues. The Apache Tree Grant Program focuses on improving wildlife habitats, restoring storm damage, and enhancing cities and neighborhoods.
One acre of forest puts out 4 tons of oxygen – enough for 18 people for one year – and removes 6 tons of carbon dioxide, a contributor to global climate change. Trees also bring nature into our city environments, and provide habitat for wildlife.
We are committed to give away a total of 3 million trees.
Since 2005, the foundation has given away over 2 million trees to more than 250 non-profit organizations across 14 states including schools, cities, counties, parks, universities, cemeteries, home owner’s associations, baseball associations, soccer associations, youth associations, Boy Scout troops, wildlife refuges and community non-profits.
